The first formed in the year 2007 with registration No. 1011/2007.
  • Institute of Mental Health Hyderabad started as custodial care asylum in 1953.
    • The alumni association has started its office on the premises of IMH.
    • Under the guidance of the alumni stalwarts, the IMH Hyderabad alumni association aims to reach newer horizons
    • The association aims to create a research fund to facilitate research activities in IMH in the near future.
    • The graduates from the institute are all over the state, the country, and the world doing their best for the psychiatrically ill in society.

    Institute of Mental Health, Hyderabad started as custodial care asylum in 1953. It transformed itself into Government Hospital for Mental Care in the 60s and later attained the status of Institute in the 70s, with the addition of UG and PG training in psychiatry and as a research nodal center in 2000 (21st Century).

    The Institute of Mental Health - Hyderabad Alumni association was first formed in the year 2007 with registration No. 1011/2007. The alumni association has started its office on the premises of IMH. The association was formed with an idea to bring all the graduates of the institute who were practicing in the country as well as worldwide under a single roof.
